Christmas Bliss...

Yes, we are still here! The store is decorated for Christmas and we are getting ready for some special events in Boerne. Dickens on Main begins November 27. The store and most of Main Street will be be open 'till 9 p.m. both Friday and Saturday night. On Friday the 27th, there will be Wassail Tasting in many of the stores. Dickens on Main will be the following weekend as well.The Christmas Parade will be December 5th.

December 3rd-Holiday Extravaganza at The Townhomes of Village Park in Boerne. Shop, relax and enjoy!

December 8th-Diva Red Carpet Night (5-9 p.m.) more details coming.

New and Old Fall Finds...

The weather is finally changing here, and it is beginning to feel like Fall. Last week the store got a Fall and Halloween make over and we are glad to be done!! We change things around pretty often, but not all at once and we were exhausted!


We have great new and old Fall and Halloween everything! I'm personally not a Halloween fan, but Fran does have some pretty cute collectibles, decor and gifts! Scroll through the pics and see some of the wonderful vignettes she has done. Vignettes are great to help with decorating and gift ideas.


I do, however, love Fall. I think the cooler weather and the change of seasons (however slight it is here) makes everyone want to decorate!! Enjoy all the pics and come see us soon.

Each one of the rooms of the store has something completely different in it, so people are always surprised to find this great little room filled with fun stationary, frames, stuffed animals and other great kid's stuff. (Invitations are 50% off!!)

We have some wonderful smelling soaps and dusting powders.There are many to choose from, inluding wild orchid, orchid jojoba, organic oatmeal, fresh milk shea butter and gardeners soap.

We just got some great new jewelry in to add to our initial and vintage charms. Lots of big chunky crosses and rose jewelry.

Sadly, Thanksgiving has almost become a forgotten holiday. It's my favorite. Lately I have become very fond of old, chippy, brown junk! Fall is a great time to pull together old brown suitcases, frames and baskets with dried leaves and branches out of your yard to make a great Fall and Thanksgiving display for your home. Add white pumpkins and it would be fabulous! (white pumpkins coming soon!...)

These Halloween buckets (great for party favors) are featured in the Fall Pottery Barn catalog this month.

If you have been to the store, you know how much I love old paper. These are from the Wendy Addison Collection and are so cute. We also have her furniture pieces and chandeliers that could also be used for ornaments and a hundred other great things! Stay tuned for Christmas...I have planned my whole Christmas theme around her great collection!

It's been awhile since we've posted. We have a had a busy summer here. School has started and we are looking forward to our record-setting 100 degree days leaving us! The store is changing daily as we get new (and old) merchandise in to prepare for the fall season. Our first ever Fall Open House will be Saturday, September 19th. We are having a great summer here in Boerne! Even with the heat, we have been busy and very appreciative of our return customers and all the great comments we have gotten on our store. We also want to say thank you for referring your friends and family to VBC, we couldn't do it without you!

Yes, it is still very hot here, but things are looking up, it rained a little yesterday!

If you are in the San Antonio area or are visiting the Hill Country, stop by Boerne. There are lots of great things to do here. Great shops, tea rooms and restaurants. There is a great little roadside park that is by the river(come feed the ducks, geese and swans). It is a great photo op for families and kids.

Farm Fresh is here!!

We just got this in and it wonderful! Blueberry Bath is a creamy mik bath to calm irritated and upset skin. (Whose skin wouldn't be irritated when it is 105 outside?) There is also a body milk lotion, a strawberry smash body cream & gel, and my personal favorite Honey Heel glaze. This gives chalky feet an instant pedicured look! In South Texas, where most people wear some sort of flip flops all year long, this will give your feet a glow (and they will smell great too!). And last but not least, it is made in TEXAS! (always important)

Sip & Shoppe

Many of the shops in the downtown Boerne area are hosting a evening Sip'n Shop on Friday, July 3rd.

The event will be from 5 p.m.- 8p.m. (a little cooler!!)and each shop will have something for you to sip on while you shop! We hope you can stop by. This event is part of Independents Week in Boerne.

Independents Week is from July 1-7th and many of the shops are having special events daily to celebrate their independent shop and the importance of supporting small independent shop owners and their stores. They are a vital part of every community. This event is sponsored by Boerne Alliance of Local Independents. Plan to come and stay tuned for more info.!!

(On July 4th, many of the stores will be having side walk sales and specials in their stores!!)

I hope you can see these well enough, they are really neat pictures that have been taken of old architecture or things in nature that look like alphabet letters. They are put together to spell words. They are done really well and it is amazing to see what they have used that looks like an alphabet letter.

We don't have a ton of Father's Day stuff but we do have some great oils and garlic croutons that Dads might like! She has other things like beer finder and wine charms that are very popular. We also have great signs all over the store that could be for a Dad.

This isn't that great of a picture, but I wanted to show you the counter. We just added the Vintage Bliss & Co. logo. It was kind of plain. Probably could use something else. Any suggestions?
